Does the charcoal go away? Yes, the bristles of the brush are impregnated with charcoal and during use the charcoal is diffused, so with your usual cleanser you benefit from the purifying and mattifying powers of the charcoal. After several uses you can naturally see a difference in the color of the bristles, which is less dark.
How long does it last? As it is an accessory there is no expiration date. But after a few uses when the brush starts to lose its grey color, all the charcoal will have been used and this is the time to renew it. Always clean and dry the brush after each use.
